My daughter,a second-grader in the French Magnet Program at Sunset Elementary in Miami, Florida, was selected as a finalist in McGraw-Hill’s “What Math Means to Me” art contest.
She is the ONLY finalist from South Florida in ANY grade level and I could not be prouder of her!! If she wins, her artwork gets published and, much more importantly, her classroom gets a bunch of really great prizes!!
“Math is Yummy!”
Her entry is in the lead, but it fluctuates and she needs more votes in order to win it! The voting ends this Sunday (11/27) at noon. Can you please help? It takes two minutes to vote and is painless! 🙂
You can vote once per email address, so if you have multiple accounts, you can vote more than once! Here’s how to do it:
1. Access http://mymath.shycast.com/?ak=/p/
2. Sign up/register on the upper right hand tab, then log-in.
3. Scroll down the page to 2nd grade, and click on the first picture entitled “Math is Yummy!”
