OK, I have a few more pumpkin tricks up my sleeve…
This one is a little late because I had to special order the pecan liqueur from my local liquor store. (I don’t know if this is something more easily found outside of Miami which, while south on the map, is definitely NOT southern! I can, however, get any kind of rum known to man…)
This is what I asked the store to order – Praline Pecan Liqueur from Gemini Spirits and Wine. The aroma of the liqueur is so yummy… They also have recipes for ways to use the liqueur on their website that I will definitely be investigating and soon!!
Anyway, the search for the liqueur is worth it! This is a good holiday drink – kind of “noggy” due to the milk, some pumpkin pie spice and a nice orangey color. Cheers!
Pumpkin Pie Martini
Yield: two drinks
3 ounces pecan liqueur
3 ounces vanilla vodka
4 ounces milk (I used 2% and it was fine)
1 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
Big pinch of pumpkin pie spice**
1-2 graham crackers, ground into fine crumbs (optional, for garnish)
1. If desired rim your martini glasses with crushed graham cracker.
2. Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice.
3. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into martini glasses.

** Pumpkin pie spice is not something I normally have on hand, so I made my own. Super easy.
