We got home from an amazing trip to NYC on Sunday night. We had a great time! Hearing Miss E suck in her breath upon seeing the skyline of the city as we drove the Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan made it all worthwhile.

We packed so much into one trip (maybe too much as evidenced by an epic meltdown in the market at Grand Central Station… I’m probably on YouTube somewhere as the lunatic mother reprimanding her hysterical daughter. Not a stellar parenting moment.) – Top of the Rock, Magnolia Bakery, American Girl Place (brunch and a trip to the doll salon – that place is a goldmine!), Central Park, American Museum of Natural History, Sarabeth’s (Miss F is still talking about her pancakes!), the Carousel in Central Park, Carnegie Deli (the strawberry cheesecake was probably the best I have ever had), a subway ride, Grand Central Station, Mary Poppins on Broadway, Artisanal, Bethseda Fountain, and walking – lots of walking!
The trip was a gift to us and we are so grateful that we got to go! Memories were made that will last a lifetime.
Tomorrow we (all four of us) are off to Palm Beach to get some family time in before school starts on Monday! No, my life is normally not this whirlwindy-travelly – I’ve just been really lucky this month! 🙂 Hope you all are enjoying your last days of summer too!
