This Friday’s cocktail is not a recipe, but the beginning of a quest. I must learn how to make a perfect version of this drink!
I sampled one at Artisanal while in New York. Made with a jalapeno tequila that I’ve never heard of, it definitely had heat and grew on me as I sipped. Very good!
I also had one at the Breakers’ Seafood Bar that was delicious! Definitely smoother and a little sweeter, but still with the heat.
The menu says that a simple syrup is infused with jalapeno, while an article in the in-house magazine said it was jalapeno-infused tequila. I’m going to go with the menu’s description, only because it was smoother and more refined (how Palm Beach!) than the Artisanal version.
I am going to dream about this drink until I figure out how to make it.
Or drive back to the Breakers and try to bribe the bartender.
