I hate politics. Hate, hate, hate.
Don’t get me wrong – I love our Democracy, I just don’t like all the politics and games…
I do, however, love cheese. Love, love, love.
So how are these things related, you might ask?
D ordered this last week, and we had a cheese plate for dinner on Friday! Yummo.
From the Murray’s website:
Put the artisan in bipartisan and get three perfect cheeses for your election night gathering. Serves 6-8.
Major Farms Queso Invierno – Cows and sheep work together to get the job done in this mixed milk cheese from Vermont. A little nutty, a little flakey, but firm enough to stand up to the competition. It’s often compared to Manchego but trust us, this is an American original.
Blue Ledge Farms Middlebury Blue – This zippy blue greets you with a firm handshake, but its Vermont farmstead roots are revealed in down-to-earth grassy flavors and a mellow finish. It’s been known to crumble under pressure but luckily it’s pear season, and we’re in the mood for salad.
Twin Maple Farms Hudson Red – Don’t let the name fool you, there’s nothing conservative about the bold flavor of Twin Maple’s Hudson Red. Some people think this New York candidate stinks, but under that funky rind lays a sweet, creamy paste that’s sure to win your vote.
Without revealing anything about my real vote, my favorite cheese was the Twin Maple Hudson Red – so creamy and delicious… The blue was a little salty, but will be great on a salad this week, I’m sure, and the “white” was really good too!
What I found funny was that Murray’s thinks this would serve 6-8.
