As much as technology rules our lives, I am at heart a paper girl. I love stationery and notecards.
I mean, an email is ok, but there’s something thrilling about receiving a card or letter in the mailbox instead of the usual bills and catalogs.
So, after a very long telephone conversation with my Mommy, during which she mostly just listened while I talked and vented, I wanted to send her a little card letting her know how I much her appreciate her for always being my champion. I found this:
Perfect, no? Love this card. Unfortunately, somewhere with all those bills and catalogs, my postcard got lost in the mail. 😦 I went back to get a replacement, but the shop was out, so I sent this one instead:
Not quite the same sentiment, but I laughed out loud when I saw it. I hope she does too. 🙂
Both of these cards are from a company called Sugarboo Designs in Roswell, Georgia. Their whole postcard collection is retro and awesome! I purchased mine at the Books and Books-run shop in the Coral Gables Museum.
