I admit it.
As you might have noticed from the lack of posts lately, I’m in a bit of a personal funk. Not in THE funk, like in a Prince with an afro, rocking guitar, bass notes, musical funk, but more of a blah, blue, sad funk.
So in an effort to work my way out of this, I googled some Prince funk and thought I would share with you a rocking link to one of my favorite, super-obscure songs called “She’s Always in my Hair.” It is the B-side (How sad that my kids will never know what a B-side is??) to the single “Paisley Park” from the album “Around the World in a Day” released in 1985. (And, yes, I have this cassette tape somewhere in my garage. Hoarder, we’ve covered this already…)
Prince played the song on Arsenio Hall’s show last month and I missed it somehow… It’s FAB.
It’s sure to get you out of A funk and into THE funk! Enjoy!
