So, this is my 100th post! Can’t really believe that, but my counter says it’s true!
I wanted to do something special for #100, so I decided to make a list. (I’m a BIG list maker. Usually of the ‘to-do” variety… I’ll even add items not on the list that I did, just so I can cross them off. Neurotic. I blame my list-make mother.) Anywho, I decided to make a list of the 100 food items that I can’t live without, crave, make special journeys for and/or that I just love. Sounds like an easy task right? I blew through the first 50 or so and then really had to think about the rest. I got stuck around 77, but managed to get to 100! You should try this – it is kind of interesting to see what made my cut… It’s not all pretty. I warned you! 🙂
In no particular order:
1. Gummy Bears (preferably Haribo, but any in a pinch…)
2. Spinach and Broccoli pizza (Caffe Italia in Coral Gables is my local supplier) 3. Diet Coke (made with Splenda)

41. Frozen Lemonade from A.C.’s Truck in Coconut Grove, Florida

All you have to do is leave a comment about something that can’t live without, crave, make special journeys for and/or just love. Who knows, it might even be something on my list! 🙂 One comment per email address. Comments will be closed on Tuesday, May 1st at 6:00 p.m. EST. Good Luck! 🙂
Disclaimer: This is sponsored solely by me, will be totally unscientifically executed (Miss E. or Miss F. will be drawing the name out of a jar…), and since my mom and my sister are the two people who regularly check in on this little blog, there is a good chance that a family member may win!
COMMENTS ELIGIBLE FOR THE GIVEAWAY ARE CLOSED! THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON! 🙂
This really made me think. BTW… I absolutely enjoyed this blog post!(Austin,Tx) The sour dough bread from Eddie V’s with extra hard cold butter! Their twice baked potato (which I’m sure is fat free) to go along with the best sour apple martini I have ever had!
Carbs and an apple martini? This is why you are my favorite aunt! 🙂
You have great taste! I love so many of the items on your list (starting with Haribo, and ONLY Haribo gummies–but I throw out the white ones–yuck!) that I shall print it out and use it as a personal challenge to try the ones I haven’t. I would add to your list the Vanilla bean cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory or the Salted caramel cupcakes from the Yum Yum truck, a local Orlando vendor. Keep up the good work!
Salted Caramel Cupcakes? Yes, please! Thanks Betsy!
first of all you should try #72 with Peanut butter, and i can’t live with out junior mints
Peanut Butter S’mores? On the new to-do list! 🙂 I also make a mean Junior Mint Brownie…
I make special trips to HyVong just for their pork rolling cakes and their spring rolls. I once told the manager of Flemmings he should change the name of his Porcini encrusted filet with Gorgonzola sauce to “Better than Sex Steak”. And I will travel all the way to Fort Pierce when I run out of my Brenda’s Booty Burner Hot Sauce….and while I’m there, I have to get Summerlin’s Smack (smoked fish dip,) it’s the best on the planet.
Girl, we need to go out more often.
#23, with pork and lots of peanut sauce…I really think there’s an addictive additive!!
My addition: anything baked by my wonderful wife
Snuffer’s Cheese Fries!! It’s been almost 20 years but I still crave those!
Right? Meet you in Dallas…
Reblogged this on InspiredWeightloss!.

Diet cherry diet coke fountain drink from Sonic! That would be in my top ten can’t live withouts 🙂 Plus Reese’s peanut butter eggs.
I think I could write your list for you! 🙂
So glad you have a blog to share your life! I love it Kara! Your list brings a flood of memories and smiles! =)
My #1 can’t live with out – sour ball candies. Best in Wisconsin – Knocke’s Chocolate shop.
I could have a done a full 100 post on candy alone! 🙂 Love sour balls too! We used to get them at the candy counter at Sears in Memorial City! 🙂
I am making my own list and can only get to 29. Yikes, this is going to take awhile. My palette is not as sophisticated as yours! Oh, cherry sour balls… I’m stealing Charlotte’s idea!
I told it was hard. You will obsess!
I’m on 52 now, and calling it a night. Will start fresh tomorrow.
